A THIRSTY CROW

Once there was a crow. Once he became very thirsty. He flew about in search of water. But he could not find it nearby.

All of a sudden he saw a large pitcher half full of water. But he could not drink it. He thought of an idea, “Why not to add some pebbles in it?” He flew to the nearest mound and returned with a small pebble holding in his beak. He dropped it into the pitcher and flew back to bring another. In this way he put a lot of pebbles into it. After all these efforts the water rose up to the brim at last. He drank the water to his heart’s content and flew away full of great joy.
